The new LEADER approach

Following an Expressions of Interest exercise, a development phase and a final selection panel, One NorthEast has now agreed LEADER strategies put forward by partnerships for the North Pennine Dales, East Durham, Northumberland Uplands, and Northumberland Coast and Lowlands areas. The partnerships are now in the process of forming Local Action Groups and preparing for their first projects.

A fifth potential LEADER area, covering the Tees Valley and North York Moors National Park, is currently developing its proposed Local Development Strategy with Yorkshire Forward and One NorthEast.
