Priority Themes

To make sure that RDPE funding in North East England is invested in the most appropriate and effective way, a set of priority themes have been produced.  These have been developed after consideration of Defra’s proposed priorities, the regional evidence base and consultation with stakeholders. The themes cover elements of environmental, social and economic need and opportunity.

Each of the themes will be subject to ongoing review, evolving over the lifetime of the programme, to ensure that they remain appropriate for the region.
